hi
folks,
this is my refurb for a drill i bought the other weekend.
ive lifted some heavy things in my time, but this was a monster.
it was quite rusty and the return tension spring had siezed up.
as you can see, some before and after pics.

Welcome and good first post! I recently bought a King Seely Craftsman bench top DP and was surprised at how much it weighed, I can't imagine trying to pick up that beast! How long did it take you to do the refurb and did you do a complete disassemble? I need to get motivated to start mine but have no experience working/refurbing metal...

thanks for the replies guys,
no i didnt do a complete refurb, stripping it completely down, because it already worked quite well, i thought id better leave well enough alone.
i just took off as much rust as i could, fixed the return spring, sorted out the swithces and gave it a good coat of blue hammered hammerite paint.
