I'm trying to put together a small wood shop in my 16' X 16' shed with all vintage tools. I went today to look an old woodworkers bench for sale about 45mins away. Ended up spending about 2 hours with the gentlemen who was born on the same property in 1937.

I felt like I was on an episode of American Pickers. He had 4 different buildings packed with stuff from floor to ceiling. Ended up buying the bench, a small Wilton vise, a couple wood planes, and a couple handsaws.

I didn't take enough cash or I would have picked up a dozen other things. Hoping to go back next week. I couldn't get pictures of all the interesting stuff because it was so packed together.

Here's a couple other pictures. I had never seen the Rockwell-Delta Uniplane before. The apothecary cabinet was still full of original contents.

Why hasn't someone invented a swivel for my monitor???

You know, so I can look at the pictures that are sideways?? or upside down??

Jk

I wish I could have gone with you. I like listening to our elders; there are very few "old fools".

These sideways pix have been driving me nuts for a long time.

No hardware needed. Give CRTL-ALT-RIGHT ARROW a try. The other arrows will flip things around in different directions as well. Just keep dorking with the arrows to bring it back to normal. Not all versions of Windows and brands of video cards support that but it works for me.

Super April 1st gag and a great way to create havoc in an office environment. Just sit back and watch the ensuing hilarity.

Bench looks nice and sturdy. Storage looks nicely weathered in. Be sure to check out the wood stash. Us vintage woodworkers are known for collecting wood. He probably has some nice old original growth, tight ring stuff.

Hold your phone wrong and you get sideways pics.

Up load from an iPad and the 90 happens all on its own.

I found pre-rotating them 90 four times and resaving fixes the issue on what I am about to upload. :dunno:
