It does raise and lower! That's the main reason I used an old chair. If I'm sitting on the floor I can have it low or if I'm standing I can have it higher!

You can go one better by tying the car seat into it that way you kid can hand you the tools as your working.

Drill some holes for screwdrivers, and some U bolts or clamps on the outside for a hammer, some hooks for whatever else.. I like it.
