My Favorite Part Is...

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So after 28 years I finally have my own garage... I don't have a fancy car, nor can I do any crazy woodworking. I'm a true blood tinkerer ( is that how you spell it?) and my favorite part of having a garage is creating the essance of the "garage" itself.

I'm a renter, and therefore my options are limited. When I got here it was a plane shell. ((((((No picture, i've been pissed at myself cause I wanted to do ---THE BUILD---- like some of you guys do with your awesome dream garages.

so heres what I got so far,

i'm planning on adding a workbech on the left side thats made out of 3x3 sqare stock, with a butcher block top(maybe casters, haven't decided yet). under it will be 2 separate roll out carts made with 2x2 and casters for workstations/shelves. Welder is fixed, just painting it. Red wings are on, their kicking ***!!!!

********************My computer is in my garage, and my roomate walked in and asked what I was doing. I told her I was on "The Garage Journal", she called me a Garage Addict, I said DAMN RIGHT!*****************

comment back guys and tell me what to add!

I'm really sorry for posting it in the heating/AC area, i'd be mad at me too.

Welcome -- that's a nice place and you seem to have all the basics (well, except the beer fridge, but that will come in time )

It looks insulated and should be a great place to hang out.

Show some pics of the car --

Thanks, and trust me i've been looking for a fridge all over craigslist. Today i'm putting in a exaust vent. Gonna use the attic door, make the board out of plywood, and cut a hole in it and attach a fan with a pull cord. Theres an unsed plug in the attic as well as a space to put a vent hose.

How many times has your computer chair dropped off of that ledge behind it?
That would wake a person up for sure. Might think about putting a lip of some kind up to prevent a wipeout!

Made some changes! I Finally got a fridge, and we decided that since we use the area for hanging out more then working... we got a table for cards, a bar, and some fooseball. BUT if we do need to work, all that stuff slides out of the way.
