This might be old (or very old) to some of you that are on the truck more often than i am (today was the first time in three years). but after the guy gave me 40% off an F80, he tossed in one of these when i asked how much it would be.

yes its a magnetic coozie that holds up a full can... cant wait to hang this on my tool box which is 850 miles away right now :-/

Is that the "proper" name in the States? Coozie sounds rude.
They only appeared a few years ago in the UK (we don't really like beer in tins or freezing) and don't really have a name. Just "those things that keep your can cold" or "those things that keep your hands from getting cold"...

That coozie (and they seem to call it that over here. Americans need to drink their beer almost frozen to suppress the taste. Sorry, couldn't resist :) ) and the Mustang magnet gave me an idea:

If the magnet is strong enough, that would be the perfect cupholder for our 65 which doesn't have any. There's certainly enough metal around to stick it to... How strong's the magnet?

yes coozie is the name........it was the trade name of the original producer of the can cooler "coozie cup" IIRC. and yes americans like thier beer ice cold because it makes them go down faster causing the euphoria to happen faster! most american beers don't have the flavor that european beers have. most americans don't care they drink goat piss anyway!

Quote from my German relatives: "your Amerikannn, Bierrrr izz pihzzzz Bierrr!"...... as they proceed to lecture me for an hour how German Bier has been made by law in specific special ways with "German Beer Purity Laws" and blah, blah, blah.... :) This is the beginning salvo of a rant about how Germany is superior in so many ways, compared to the USA; I try to be polite, as I am "lectured" about a long list of achievements Germany has attained.... Zuspiel, can you explain why I get this lecture over and over again; when I meet up with my German part of my family? LOL!

Krusty, Suh I do believe that you have insulted the goats. Surely such fine creatures produce better then that!

Why would it flip over? Do you mean off the fridge, or to a side?

I was thinking if it had a single round magnet it might spill to the side if bumped

no love for my sliced bread joke?:(

I thought it was kind of clever. Maybe it was too obvious. I need some validation

And yet another thread devolves into "American Beer *****, My Choice of Microbrew/European Beer is Far Superior."

I like cheap domestic beer. I also like to drink it at a speed that makes Coozies irrelevant.

That said, looks like a nice product! Snap-On retail on this item: $59.99, with a full lifetime repair/replacement warranty, of course.

If its not homebrew, it's the High Life for me.

But we digress - how did you get the dealer to knock 40% off?

Yeah, I have NEVER had a Snap-On dealer give me a deal on anything; I have paid MSRP on everything, AFAIK; then again, I don't hardly buy anything or own him 10k either! :)

i guess i have been lucky. over the years i have been given promotional items and discounts. i even had a snap on dealer that was watching me work one day with a pair of 6" needle nose pliers, he said " i can't stand to watch this" went to his truck and gave me a pair of long needle nose pliers! of couse i ended up buying the 45 and 90 deg pliers to go with it. but that just made it a break even deal for him and a loyal customer to boot!
