I'm going to have to check out your store in Hatboro sometime!

Very nice.. I like how the house sort of shields the back yard and makes it look private back there.

Btw, did you happen to see how the tapers managed the transition next to beams? I have a bunch of exposed beams/posts that I have to work around, would love to know if you noticed any special tricks.

They taped at the edge next to the beam. Im going to put 1/4 round at the transition point.

Bucks County, PA, hmm...

Anywhere near the Buck Motor Speedway? Tractor Pulls, Mud Bogs, Demolition Derby's? All from another life, a long time ago.

Nice work.

Did you teach yourself stone masonry?

Maybe I missed it, but what is the width of your entire house now? Are you getting close to setbacks?

I couldnt get in touch with the mason so i decided to tackle it myself.. it was pretty easy.. laid it all out on the floor and transfered it to the the wall.. i will measure check out the plans to see how wide it is but im right inside the building envelope.

Love Old Fashioned Hardware Stores.

The kind with the wood floors that creak when you walk on them... Helpfull people, and there is a "smell" of an old hardware store. Not a "stink" smell but the smell of tools, hardware (not you), electrical & gas powered items and other assorted paraphenailia. You don't get that in a big box store.

Just my opinion.

Thanks Colt:thumbup:

I Started moving some stuff over to the new garage. Stuff that Ive been aquiring over the years. Originally I had plans for the "Garage Mahal look" but Money is tight so we are going with the "Old Working shop look".. I found a trans table with a drain for $50 on Craigslist. I love craigslist!

"The smell part"
I get that often when customers walk in. Alot of them say it Brings back memories of coming in with their father etc.
I pretty much narrowed it down to the wood floors and fertilizer. But we did have a fat guy who worked for us who had a certain smell.. never could figure that one out..:lol_hitti

Re: measurments of upper floor

Daryl,
2x10 joists 16" on center. center beam is engineered approx 4" x 14" and the joists are hung off of it and are about 14' long. 3/4 plywood floor. its Very stable. dont move a bit.

Its not perfect, but my buddy is a snap on dealer and says it was a Great Deal so i grabbed it. Thanks for the compliment

That explains the Computer "desk". That is not normally a box you see off a truck! I have the same one (except it is an older rainbow) in my garage for my computer!

Right! thats the box that a snap on dealer would have on his truck.
I picked that one up first. My craftsman is rustin away on the right.
