I was using my long 3/8 rat tightening a hub assembly and I went for the final crank the socket gave way and i damn near busted my hand. Will warranty it but i only had it about 4 years and i never even used it on a impact
Lol. Thanks guys. Switched careers a few years ago and now I'm getting to the real meat of the job. There is no point to this thread. Just sharing isn't that what we do here?í*@#$½í²[emoji767]
I wonder if NASA screens theirs with X ray or something to try to catch the problem before it happens?
My SnapOn guy is happy to take worn folded currency, tooMy snap on guy is pretty good. He will warranty stuff regardless of age or if I bought it from someone else. It doesn't hurt I pay in crispy bills every time I see him
Did an Escalade wheel hub/bearing and cracked the 15mm semi-deep with my FLL80 (last bolt). It made a loud bang but luckily nothing gave up. Still finished the job with it.
One of my friend uses the deep 8mm chrome on impact all the time, cracked it and still use it for two years before he finally got a driver to replace it.
They're not indestructible. Take a picture for memories, and send it back for warranty. Next time step up to a bigger drive size.
