I'm always browsing but have never found anything worth while. It's seems as though everything here is over priced anyway. Until yesterday, I found this gem. Met the guy today and bought it. 15 bucks, I didn't even haggle. How did I do?

Is it really made by Wurth? If so, I reckon it originally sold for a heck of a lor more than $15!

Pretty much all of the big hardware companies have those branded with their logo. Mine at work are stamped Lawson. They are very nice for storing hardware and or miscellaneous equipment. Typically they are given to the shop for purchasing the hardware.

I tried to find something about it online but had no luck. Guy had it listed as a sandpaper shelf. Beats me. It's built very well and has mounting holes in it so you can put it on the wall. Now I just have to decide where it's going.

Nice score  FWIW back in the day when that was likely originally purchased I'd bet it was fairly inexpensive or free. Wurth made their money when you filled and refilled the cabinets with Wurth products. I have five very nice storage cabinets that I paid $35 each from Wurth back in the late 80s. I would have glady paid much more!

That's an AWESOME buy wellpoison!!!!!!

If you plan to store nuts/bolts/hardware in it or supplies like cutting discs, etc and you work in a dusty environment or grind or paint a lot in the area, I'd go to a fabric store and buy enough black or red vinyl or heavy canvas to make a cover for the front.

Hem the ends if canvas then velcro to the top horizontal face above the top bins. You're making basically a fabric roll up big door and dust shield.

You can roll it up and tie when you need access or just flip it over the top but when lowered, it REALLY helps keep the dust out of the cubbies.

You can't vacuum the dust out of each cubby lest you **** up all your bolts :) so blow gun is the only alternative but that blows shiz and dust all around again.

Just a thought and used heavily for open hdwre storage racks like that in heavy welding shops.

Nice score . . . . very lucky for your very first CL purchase!

That would look real cool with aluminum frame around entire perimeter so you could put some slider plexiglass doors in front to keep out dust (ie like sliding shower glass doors in dual grooves). I can envision some great aluminum welds . . . . right??

Neighbor wanted a sturdy basement skylight cover and his son was awesome aluminum welder and he built entire thing from angle aluminum. Plexiglass was riveted in frame (ie son was also machinist for aircraft industry) and that cover turned out incredible.

Your parts box could be mounted on the wall with the strength of the aluminum frame.

Anyway my 2 cents. Great score!
