My First Foray into Tekton

With the demise of Craftsman, I searched here and Reddit for a comparable replacement as I didn't have a full set of wrenches or sockets (just stuff here and there that came from "$10 for the box" type) so I had several duplicate sizes and some missing sizes. I ended up going with Tekton because of their warranty and their reviews after considering Williams, SK, and Bluepoint. IF price was no issue I would have 100% went with Wright.

Below is my current Tekton arsenal. Overall I am pleased and believe that quality is on par with what Craftsman was before moving overseas. Their wrenches have some imperfections in the jaw that are wavy/bubbly in texture? However, I have found no fault so far with their sockets.

If they suit your purposes, they are just what you need. Opinions run the gamut on brand names, coo's and warranties in these forums. My hope is that they work for you and that you can enjoy working with them.

I've been really impressed with Tekton especially for the price and love the fact that their socket sets are complete/master sets with no skips.

They are every bit as good as the old Napa USA line and Craftsman which were my go to brands in the past

Nice, if you're just starting to put together your tools that's not a bad start. I'd like that socket set for the case alone if nothing else and those racks the wrenches come in are what I have to buy for most all the rest of my wrenches. I think I'm going to snag one of their 90T 1/4 ratchets this week myself. At $15 it's hard to beat.

You’ll enjoy them. I have that combination wrench set and I beat on them with a mini sledge. Are they as pretty as they were when I got them? No. That said, they still work great and am happy to own them.

I have a few Tekton pieces. They are very reasonable for the price. I think the comparison to Craftsman (older C) is pretty appropriate as well.

I really like that set. It covers the size range for most DIY projects. A pro would want more options for speed (mostly access to prevent unnecessary disassembly) but combined with those wrench sets you bought you have a huge amount of capability for under $250.

They seem to be a solid value and if you do have an issue the warranty process is fantastic.

Tekton is usually excellent for the money. The only Tekton tool I have which I don't like is the 1/4 dr 72 tooth ratchet out of my 1/4 dr set.
