If you've got a second car to fit in that garage - or you're planning on filling the other bay with fitted tools - then by far the best solution for bikes is the ceiling-mounted pulley systems that every Chinese reseller has been making since about AD 0. The ones to get are the dual-control ones where you can raise and lower the front and rear of the bike individually, because you can get the bike to come straight down onto its wheels as well as tuck it right up in the ceiling.
I've got five at home and they're a great idea (if a little messy in construction), but if you've got a drill press and a ladder you could make much higher-quality ones with sailing pulleys, cleats and rope from a chandler's.

Thanks for that. About to apply my epoxy-coat but can't decide on whether to get a 2nd pack of flakes and whether to use all the anti-slip additive or not... My double garage is about the same size as yours...

Love the look of your garage. That may be because there is some similarity to mine.
I went with a blue stripe that coordinates with my car. I also have blue chips on our epoxy floor.

Looks great so far, Mayor. So when are we going to see some pics with all the tools and stuff in it?
Since my wife and I decided to finish the garage before moving everything into it, but after moving everything to the house, this means that the garage stuff is everywhere. I had piles of junk in the family room, our office, and our dining room.....much to the wife's dismay. We have begun to purge the house of all things garage, meaning that the garage has become a war zone. I got my toolbox located and my bench assembled, but I have not had time to start putting things away quite yet....
That hasn't stopped me from getting more things to put into the garage
Again, much to my wife's dismay, my father in law (her father, mind you....), has started looking for tools for me.
As of this weekend, I will have a new (to me) table saw, new (to me) drill press, and a new (to me) bench vise. I also got a new lawn mower and string trimmer (don't start with "those don't belong the garage" I know. A shed build is in the future

I think the vise is a Prentiss, with what looks like an adjustable jaw!!!!!!! I will be posting a restoration of it soon enough.....I hope, if I can find the time that is.......
I hope to get some more cleaned up this week and will get some pics then.

Update!
So, its been a few months, just enough time for me to get it all messy.....
I have been working on a suspended shelf for above the two bays. I got one almost all the way done, still need to add a chain support in the middle of the edge. Here is what it looks like so far:
Finished! The shelf is 17" below the ceiling, which should allow those rubber tubs to fit up there.....there about 16" tall. So should be pretty good.....
Should be able to hold couple hundred pounds with the fasteners I used. Still need to paint it white to match the ceiling.
