My first knife block

I made my first knife block. I copied the idea to be transparent. I enjoyed making this , the clamping was a bit challenging and tricky but it was good. it’s not perfect . I made it for my granddaughter for her new apartment.

Purpleheart, maple, cherry, walnut and the base / end piece is oak. Rubbed in butcher block oil. These were mostly scrap pieces I had lying around.

I really enjoy woodworking. It’s a thing that lets you know really quick if you screwed up quietly. This project was time consuming because I had to glue 1 by 1 and wedge them to clamp.
