Having seen various threads on Plomb tools in here I took a punt on eBay for this little set. At £ 0.99 for the lot I couldn't go wrong.
Well they arrived today and they are great, it is interesting to think what history they have and how they got over here. If I am right these were made back in the 1940's, same as me!!!

Have a good Christmas everyone.
Dave

Dave,

You probably know it, but too far gone begins with this first seemingly small step. The slippery slope is worse with foreign tools. You get more oohs and ahs, plus you become the local expert because no one else has ever seen anything like them. Welcome to the club.

thnx, jack vines

I'd give an eye tooth for the WF-34!

Nice pieces to start out with. Yes, you are just starting! You will now feel the need to collect every WF tool you can get your hands on. There are some so rare, that one 1 example is know to still exist.

In case you don't know, be VERY careful cleaning up Cadmium plated tools like these. Do not use a wire brush as the "dust" can cause serious, irreversible damage to your liver and lungs in concentrations as low as 5ppb.

If you feel the need, I'm going to put up some of my duplicates for sale after the first of the year. I'm not sure what the shipping costs would be, but I am willing to give it a try.

Thanks for your comments, I know how the bug bites just ask Goodfellow after his Sun equipment posts!!::)

One point which maybe someone knows the answer, on the WF7 the small ball bearing which holds the socket in place is missing, is it possible to replace these and if so how are they fixed in??

I'm going to revive this thread one last time and close it out of respect for the OP. I was recently informed that he passed away a few years back. I have added Member Emeritus to his user title.

This thread was his last thread and posts.

RIP good sir.
