Same box I bought my dad for Christmas many, many... many years ago. Got passed on to my nephew after my dad passed. My nephew is the only one with good hands and a smart head so I was pleased when he got it. Still makes me smile.

Nifty. Looks like my first SnapOff box. Mine had a lot less rust. That poor thing has led a hard life. Enjoy restoring it.
My first box is long gone. When Crapsman started making reasonably priced bigger boxes, I traded it for cash and bought a stack from Sears, with money left over. Still have those.

It actually isn’t as bad as the pictures look. It was already dropped off at my friends place for powder coating.

that what they call a road box, you usually see them on mechanic trucks for service calls. There alot of boxes made that are identical or really close, that are not snap on brands. so its not really worth a lot because there are million of them. I got two, that was giving to me.
The appearance can be similar, but a true road box is reinforced so it will last longer constantly being tested in a vehicle environment. Snap On makes specific road boxes and they're not cheap.
