I cleaned up this Craftsman 3 drawer tool box I bought new back in 1963. I used to haul it around in the trunk of my 1962 409 Chevy. The small decal on the end of the box came with an Engle roller cam I installed in the 409.

I wish I had kept the Chevy instead of the box.

I got the same box and still do, I got it in 1974 when I purchased a 64 Impala SS ragtop at 15YO. Sadly it was only a 283 and not a 409, but at 15 I had an SS ragtop, pretty good money for a paper route...

It lived in every vehicle I ever had after that, but alas it is too big for the passenger floor in my single cab ram and too big for behind the seat too.

My wife said I should get rid of it, I said that's a part of history...lol Just the stickers alone.

I had four different engines in mine. It started out with a 327/300. I did an engine swap for a '63 409/425 . Several years later I pulled the 409 and put it in a '23 T bucket I had built. I replaced the 409 with a 283 for a time, and then installed another 409 which was in the car when I traded it for a Vincent Black Shadow motorcycle. Unfortunately, I traded off the Vincent after a short time.

Ouch. You traded off a Vincent back shadow. Thats gotta hurt...
Also had a new in the crate single four barrel SOHC Ford engine. Ran it briefly on the street in a '63 Ford Galaxie. Traded that for a bunch of guns. This was all close to 50 years ago. Who knew how much that stuff would end up being worth?
