my first tool set(15years old)

Hey guys i finally got my first tool kit for my 15th birthday here are some pics!

You've got a good start going there! When you can, get some socket trays/racks of some kind. This will keep them from rolling around when you open & close the drawer. Therefore, it will be easier to find them & you will be more productive.

Very nice set up. What do you plan on using them for? Building you first car? Repairing your dirt bike or four wheeler? If you have a Dad or uncle who is handy with tools, watch, learn and help. The money you'll save repairing your own stuff will save you a ton of money so you can buy more tools and post more pictures Also, tools as birthday, Christmas and graduation presents will last a lifetime and will provide great memories years down the road, so keep a running want list available for all the aunts and uncles!

I remember my first tools at 15.....SEARS brand.....not Craftsman.
Me and the Flannigan brothers rebuilt an old '59 Caddy.

That's a Great start of a life long addition. Take care of them, add more as you grow older and or the need arises. Tools are a good investment that will serve you well through out your life.

Mind you it can get additive. I started purchasing tools weekly from my paper route money at the ripe age of 14. Now look at the wealth of tools and equipment that I have acquired over the past 50 years. But few things, other than my family, gives me more pleasure!

That is a fantastic tool kit to start with. You should have seen what I had
to work on my motorbikes with at 15.... Suffice to say, it was not pretty...

Definitely agree that somewhere near the top of your wish list should be a
pair or two of pliers and you'll be good to go for nearly all the maintenance
jobs you're likely to do.

haha i just realised i needed one after i pushed the toolbox around then opened it and my sockets seemed to be everywhere took me 30mins to find the right one

Better than video games, yes, sports cards, not necessarily. I've got a lot of older baseball cards from the '50s and 60s I bought for very little that are worth plenty of money today! Unfortunately, I passed on that '52 Mickey Mantle when I was 14.

That's funny I just turned 15 in feb. So we got at least three 15 year olds on here. I don't have anything to work on yet but, lawn equipment, minibikes, and household stuff. But hopefully in a year I will have a Dodge cummins(my dream truck) to work on.
