Picked up this Vidmar Cabinet for $350, and I could not be happier! Now I understand what all the hype is about.

I went ahead and stood in it just for good measures.

Lol just be careful and load it right I could tell you a few horror stories of idiot Airman doing that kind of thing but on a 5 foot cabinet. Thankfully they were not seriously injured but only by the grace of other things stopping the cabinet from completely flattening them. Think 5' x 6' x 28" cabinet loaded to the gills with rivet bucking bars some weighing over 3 lbs a piece. I had to bolt them to the wall after the 3rd idiot . Btw they were clearly stenciled in fire extinguisher red 3m labels in 3" letters do not stand in or on drawers do not open more then one drawer at a time. Two did the open the drawer and stand on it to reach the top drawer instead of going and getting the stool 10 feet away, the 3 rd was looking for a particular shape bar and was opening the drawers part way but not getting them shut before moving to the next drawer. The cabinet on the opposite side of the isle stopped it from coming down all the way every time. Oh and for the record they were also all written LOR's since they had entered a secure area with out permission and were not supposed to be going into the drawers.

Ya, well if it can't hold my 150 pound body then it was going back to its previous owner! At school in the FSAE shop we have a guy that buys all of our tools, cabinets, etc.., and he bought these cabinets where only one drawer will open at a time...

Personally I hate the darn things! But it does make it safer for those who don't know any better.

Ah man, you should have got the HF44". :spit:

Congrats, that looks like a real nice cabinet. Where did you buy the cabinet from?

Rusty, what are the dimensions on that? Where did you get it? I'd love to find one like that.

I'm bummed, I missed out on a real nice one for $175 a week ago. Still on the hunt though. There is one on ebay that looks promising though.

I live about 10 miles away from the former vidmar plant in Switzerland.
Sad to see what the buildings are used for now.

I missed out on one on Craigslist for $100 a few days ago. Still crying about that one. My buddy got several for free from his workplace when they scrapped them. I still hate him LOL.

I found it on craigs. It's 4' hight, 5' length and 27" of awesomeness. You don't want to know how much I paid and I don't want to read that I ****!

I really lucked out on it; and thanks to this site I wouldn't have ever bought one. I just happened to do a little searching around after reading about Vidmar's on this site. It just so happened that it was for sale about 10 miles from my shop, and the guy even delivered it.
