4 weeks ago I had no idea that vises could be so rewarding. I finally landed my first wilton bullet from a guy locally. It's no queen but good enough for me. I spent some timing on it this weekend. I think I i like it. Going to get use a lot.

1) Anyone know about these copper lock downs? I can't find any information on them so I doubt they are original. Exp Date is 2-47. Not bad for 77 years old.

2) This has a one piece base. Anyone know when wilton went to a two piece base?

3) my pins were both solid and tension pins. Anyone know which was OEM? ... or did they use both? My Nut is solid pins. The tail section top pin is tension.

Appreciate the help.

Thanks

I believe copper/brass. lock downs are original to that vintage. I have a 3 1/2 incher that has the brass/copper nuts. Nice looking vise. Enjoy It!
