My first "You ****" score!

I usually don't have much to provide in the way of cool tools or great garage sale finds. That being said my shop is going to MSC vending systems and our GM is getting rid of the few grey cabinets hanging out ok the floor. I was lucky enough to be in a meeting when management was going through "keep this: scrap that" conversation and when a big Durham with bin doors came up and they said they were scrapping it I jokingly said "you can deliver that to my garage". The AGM turned to me and said "it's yours if you get it outta here by Friday"

So here it is. 48x72x24. It has 18" deep shelving with bin hanger doors. I was able to keep all the bins in the doors too! It's 12 gauge steel with piano hinged doors. Took all of my ingenuity to get if out of my truck but I pulled it off.

Really cleaned up the garage!

Sorry I tried to find a thread in which to post my acquisition but couldn't find anything relevant.
I apologize and am hopefully not banned from GJ because of it.
I was just excited about getting something so awesome for free!

It has been made very clear....one does not give self suckage....

And this would have rated as a major "You ****"....but you had to go ruin it.....

Nice score though...

Aside from the obvious no-no of self proclamation, do we even consider "insider trading" a "you ****" situation anyway? I thought it was really reserved for the true off the street deals.

Love that though, wish my boss liked me better for when the time comes.

The time it took me to get it out of my truck and put in place by myself left about 15 minutes to get all my **** inside of it before I had to pick up the little one from daycare. When I get it all organized I will snap an inside shot so that I don't disrespect the rest of the garage.

Maybe for those that break the rules and declare self suckage, they could still receive credit at a lower ranking by simply being told "you swallow".:spit:

Well it looks like it might be a nice score but due to the serious nature of the suckage rules it is clearly down graded to it's okay I guess.:dunno:

Being a fairly new member, I understood the phrase to mean appreciation, admiration, envy even of an others good fortune and trying to express that without really saying it.
The 'phrase', though its been around as long as I can remember, and its use may have different rules here at GJ, just dont want to assume.

But doesnt self applying the phrase redefine its meaning and when used by others, it then becomes literal.

Sorta like "Dude". It can be the highest compliment, a question of your sanity or the most encompassing insult. Maybe its a regonal thing. Just curious.

Miller, I'm not a big fan of the "wife bang" thing either, but it's a lot like the "You ****" comment. It's just part of the GJ. Don't take it personal. You have a lot to learn here I'm afraid:thumbup:

Jeez, will they never learn? I enjoy handing out a hearty "you ****" when its well deserved, but lately there's been so much self suckage I'm starting to think this forum is based out of San Francisco.:lol_hitti
