My five car gargae is almost finished. The 4 post lift is really a blessing. It is so easy to do brakes at arm level than doing them on the floor. Oil changes a breeze and not spilling a drop. Not to mention an extra parking place! It's not fancy, but practical.
I have seven 1960 Chevys, thank goodness for the neighbor next door. I'm using her garage fo the other two.
I park one on top, three across and one side ways.
I still have room to do most things. It's no problem to move them around or outside weather permitting.
Next to do, is the parts room and update my den in the garage.

I have one Red 2dr Impala, one Black 2 dr Impala and one Turquoise 2 dr Impala.
One Shadow Grey Impala 4 dr sport sedan, one Black/White Belair 4 dr sedan (on top), oneTturquoise/White 4 dr sedan and one Horizon Blue/White 2dr sedan.
Cars can be seen in "albums" if intrerested.
And you are right, I have three with all the same color interior (red) and I do get mixed up sometimes, especially when I have left someting behind and I have to go searching for it!

Nice, it looks like you used every inch of space. I like the pegboard wall, I'm thinking of doing the same thing in my garage. How did you secure the pegboard to the wall and keep the holes usable?

Whoa. Don't start a new thread every time you want to add some more to your original post. Go back to the thread and hit 'reply.' Then you can put in more pictures or text and you won't be cluttering up the board with a bunch of different threads about one topic.

There might be a limit on pictures, but it's in each post -- not in each thread. Just create a new reply when you want to add more.

That said, it's a very nice garage.

Jacks correct....................just hit the reply button in your first thread and add the photos.

It will make for a great thread and get alot more viewers as well. I did one that went on for almost a year (actually its still active)

Nice space, dig those signs.

Nice space! Ironically, I saw 2 separate 1960 2-doors Chevies yesterday in Newark, DE within 2 minutes of each other. Made me wonder if these guys knew each other, but they were not together. Love those fins!

Sorry to see that your Biscayne police car was totalled. The blood on the passenger door showed it wasn't a minor accident. Glad you survived.

Re: My Five Car Garage (Continued)

Ater I installed the wall insulation and vapor barrier I screwed the pegboard to the 16 inch center studs. There is plenty of room for peg board hooks.

Jack,
Thanks for the info. I didn't know. I'll try to combine both.

I looked for over 20 years for a rust free 1960 Chevy Belair 2 dr sedan.
Even though it is a 6 cylinder, it has tinted glass, p/s, p/b, bumper guards, full wheel covers, wide whites, outside mirrors, with a day/night mirror, tissue dispenser and Chevy bowtie floor mats.

Sixnut,

You have any 348s in those Chevys? Or is your tag name the answer?

Name is Six t nut (60 nut). I've owned and restored over 15 1960 Chevys.
Not a lot, but they were nice cars and 3 parts cars.

The Red Impala is a 348 3 deuce, automatic (pg, p/s, p/b, factory air).

The Gray Impala is 348, p/s, p/b, pg, padded dash, power windows, 6 way power seat, factory a/c. (actually has over 40 options)

The Black/white will replace the Police Car. It is 348, hi-po heads, carter afb with positrac.

You can go to albums and pull up pics of each car if you like.

Great collection and cool garage! I live in Winfield (30 miles away) and am in Huntington quite often (I love Jim's Spaghetti House). Let me know if you ever host an "open house" in your garage. BTW, you're welcome to stop by my garage, The Hot Rod Grille, for a root beer float from the soda fountain. Hope to see you soon!

Jim

Real nice garage and collection of '60's there...

Our '60 Vette is Horizon Blue w/ White coves, so fond of that color combo for sure.

Randy,
That color combo is very sharp on a Vette.
My Belair 2 dr is Horizon Blue and White. I like it quite well.
This is the first one I have owned in these colors. i haven't seen many in these colors.

Jim,
Sure sounds great! This is what I do all summer.
Unfortunately, I won't be able to attend this one. If you have another one next month, let me know.
I'm Vice President of BB's Car Club and we will be having our cruise in on the 3rd Saturady of the month Aug-Oct. We are located at the Kyova Mall in Cannonsburg, Ky. We ususally have around 250-300 cars weather permitting.
We were voted in the top ten in 2007, 2008, 2009 by Crusin Times Magazine for best cruise ins in the mid west. October is always our last for the year and we have a special Halloween bash. We always have a DJ on hand to play music. Dr. N Sane does his thing in Oct. Mr. J, (Magic Carpet Productions). Most all are dressed for Halloween and we give free gifts for all the kids, registered or not. Door prizes are givien out every 10 minutes for registered vehicles.
Cemetary Nights Car Club has attended before. Their Hearses are unreal! They go all out in their displays for sure.
