My flea market find!!!

Found this at a flea market the other day. I tried not to RUN over to it and ended up checking it out for about 3 minutes. I finally asked the guy "what's the best you can do on this?" After replying $15 dollars (much to my amazement that his price was right in line with what I would pay for it) I didn't even bother to haggle at the cost and gladly gave it to him. I haven't seen one of these yet so any and all info would be appreciated.
I can't seem to stop buying vises now! But I guess I can look at it this way; at least I'm buying complete vises now and moving away from buying the incomplete ones without the damn swival base - I gave up thinking I can eventually find all the bases!

OH man I was rolling on the floor after I read that.

Is that the same Milwaukee as the power tools? Is it American made? Unfortunately, I really can't tell you anything about it other than it looks cool. I would have bought it for $15 too just for the looks. The tops of the jaws look like they'll provide a nice flat work area.

I would have had trouble resisting that one. Never seen anything like it and I like the styling. It looks like it is half way between being a machinist vice and a homeowner grade vice.

I want one now.

Yeah it's american made, it says so on the jaw right before the handle. I never seen one like it either. :)

I would take a wild guess and say it is from the late forties or fifties. Very cool. Give Milwaukee Morgan a call.

Thanks for the "you ****!" Fatfillup, I've been trying to get one of those!

And thanks for pointing me in the right direction Mjozefow! I was at a loss with the timeframe of this one and couldn't find a reference like it.

Of course, vises don't have to be pretty to work well, and that was a smoking deal by anyone's standards - but WOW, that's one homely vise! :p

Ahem, you have to appreciate the refinements of the art deco era of American art and culture to like this vise! :spit:
