My flea market find.

So today I went to the flea market and scored some cool tools.
Here are the craftsman tools I got. All of them, except the spark plug socket and wire cutters, are the =V= era. The ratchets are 1/2 and 3/8 drive. I also got a 3" 3/8 drive extension, a 6" 1/4 drive extension, 1/2 drive breaker bar, 1/4 drive breaker bar, Craftsman 7" wire cutters, and a 5/8" spark plug socket. I got all the tools for $20.
The other thing I got was this vintage SK tool box. Shes a bit rusty and missing the tray, but not bad for $5! If someone knows how to get the date of when this box was made, let me know. I am also thinking of restoring it. Should I? Or should I leave it as is? How do you guys think I did?

Here is the link for the pics: http://www.flickr.com/photos/84042629@N04/7694279058/

Good finds. Clean those tools up and put them to use. The SK box is nice. I'm no expert and may be way off. I think that is before the SK Wayne era. So maybe 1950s or older. Someone will chime in shortly that knows more than i do.

I might be completely off ,but I am thinking the box might be from the 1970s? Since before the 60s sk was owned by dresser? And if from the 60s would be marked sk Wayne.

I have some Sk that says dresser on the cardboard box. I always thought the dresser was post SK wayne.

Anyone out there that can clear this up for me?

I was wrong Sherman clove was pre sk Wayne and dresser was post sk wayne so the box roughly dates to the 30s to the early 60s as a rough guess.

Nice finds, if only you could find stuff like that at flea markets over here... or find flea markets at all

some may disagree, but id clean up and id restore the box, would look great with a new coat of paint on it
