Sorry no pics. yet. But,yesterday my concrete was poured. I was working in the neighborhood so I got the chance to come by a few times during the pour.
I was fixing the air conditioning at some poeples house, turnes out they are artists. We got to talking and I asked if they could draw some flames in my concrete while it was still somewhat wet. They agreed and when I came home I had the perfect set of "Hot Rod" style flames. Aprox 10' long inside both garage doors and a smaller set inside the walk in door. I don't think they could have been drawn any better,i'm VERY happy with them and it only cost me $50.00.
Now I dont know what to do about a floor coating. I was going to use a checkerboard pattern. But now I HAVE FLAMES.:bounce: Any suggestions?

I was going to use 12x12 tiles but if I do that and stop and cut to the flames to do them in epoxy I'll have a ridge to deal with. Maybe I can "feather" them to the tiles?

There is an easy solution - use self leveling epoxy that you can squeege. Simply cut out the tiles to surround the flame area and fill the flame area with epoxy up to the level of the tiles. This will eliminate the ridge and should look awesome. You could even get a red and a yellow/orange epoxy and just pour them in the space. Swirl them around some and you have your own homemade epoxy flames!

Good call. I'll try it. Thanks for the tip.
Garage is 28 x 40 with 12' 5" ceiling (for future lift) Walls are up,need to pick roof and siding colors in the next day or 2. Any good visualization programs out there. It seems the ones I've found don't let me change all the parameters I want to.
