Finished my floor this week, quite a process to get through but well worth it. I chose Armor Garage II based on my research (before I found this board). Decided to go with forklift traffic materials and no chips. Base coat plus same coler top coat with aluminum particles in the top coat for wear and non-slip capability. Have a 1,500 sq ft building, new with nothin on the floor. First attempt in March resulted in 2 cans of epoxy opening in shipment. fedEx took responsibility for that and the company sent replacement material the next day but my vacation was over and I had to leave. Took up again last week and three days later it was done.
Started by washing, pressure washing, acid etching, TSP powder washing and a final rinse. Let dry for about 30 hours in 90 degree heat. Applied base coat with 18 inch roller with 3 batches mixed and applied. Simply poured the mix across the floor and used the roller to work it. No problems with the base coat at all. Let dry 24 hours and mixed up the top coat. Applied with new roller but used a roller pan this time. Material went on easier than base coat, was able to apply heavy coats with supplied material. S
Spiked shoes were very valuable for touch ups of lighter areas. Let dry 48 hours and put it to the test with a 4,000 pound scissor lift used to install my ceiling lights. Ran back and forth across the floor for three days with no marking, chirping or other visible signs I was there. The only thing that impacted the floor was when I dropped my circular saw, blade exposed, from about 4 ft high. The concrete chipped along with the epoxy but that is to be expected.
Overall, very satisfied with the product and the results.
Will post pics tomorrow, in the airport now.
