I had a Wright ⅜” drive ratchet missing the mechanism. I also had a beat-up Wright flex ratchet and a Taiwanese Powerline palm ratchet. I decided to do some switching around. I measured the palm ratchet and determined it would fit in the Wright’s flex handle.

I decided the take the kit out of the Wright flex and put it in the Wright handle. You may notice that I appropriately used Wright tools to destroy this Wright ratchet.

Then, I took the Powerline ratchet and put it onto the Wright flex handle. The joint is nice and stiff on the flex head. Overall the project went well.

man that palm ratchet looks like a williams ?

That's why I bought it. I thought perhaps I'd be getting a NOS Williams that was rebranded. Not the case, it turned out. But, it only cost $8.

Here's a link to the ebay auction.

It's a copy of the Williams design, except it is single pawl instead of dual pawl. It even has the same threaded ring that holds in the mechanism

How many teeth on that williams look-alike?

I didn't count, and I'm away from home right now. But, it isn't fine tooth. Since it's single pawl, it doesn't have the high tooth count of the Williams Superratchet. I'm going to guess 36 - 40 teeth. I'll try to remember to count them when I get home.
