20x26 detached garage for projects and stuff. When I moved in it was a shell with a light fixture. I have since put up a few work benches to get my tools off the ground.

That is what I had to work with to begin with. An old dresser and. A whole bunch of disorganized mess.

With a little help from our master carpenter we had a work bench!

We had so much fun and the work bench was so practical, we decided to make another one and put a little miter saw table between the two!

And voila! With a few boards and some nails we had a fully functional work bench! Each bench is 8ft long 34 inches deep and 36 inches high.

My wife loves the look of rustic reclaimed barnwood / pallet furniture, so I am embarking on a quest of learning how to woodwork! I must admit, my first project was a great learning experience and a ton of fun! I found some pallets on the side of the road, brought them home disassembled them and built her this nice little entryway table.

Not really a garage related project, unless you consider all of the stored fence in my garage a project... you know... a project to clear out the garage! There we go! thats the project here.

So we Started with this, and extremely overgrown corner of my exspansive *cough cough* 3rd of an acre lot...

As you can see here I have started my bushwhacking, I found a lot of rocks, bricks, and old rail road timbers!

With all of that brush I figured the best way to clear it was to set it on fire!

and then more bushes came down thanks to the good ol huskavarna

After a few hours of sending mile high smoke signals and another 10+ hours of digging out tree stumps the yard was looking good!

With a little help from the little man we strung a line from corner to corner and started digging some post holes. Couple feet deep and whatever across... as long as they were straight!

Well, if you've ever built a fence before, which I haven't, then you will learn the importance of a straight line and measuring 400 times! The posts are plumb and nice and concreted in, unfortunately a few of them were just a few inches off. Oh well. We made it work. In the end, I had a fence up before winter, the dog wont run away, and the garage is clear!

Time to get to work on some more projects!
