hello everyone, today day dedicated to the arrangement of the drawers that I built, six for the workbench and two and a half for the milling machine cabinet, I also lowered and modified the shelf above the lathe for mt3 taper.
Very satisfied!

thank you all! Drivesitfar, unfortunately I don't have much free time to use my tools as I would like, also when I work I forget to document the various phases with photos, I put some photos of some bushings and adapters made for supermotard brake installation on my ktm

Thank you! it is a garage for 2 cars plus a small space where you can see the motorcycle, bench and lathe, in total they are almost 50 square meters, but as you can see they are completely occupied! I don't know Luca, what is his city?

Aaaaahhhh, Italy... amazing country, amazing people.

Piacenza is one of the northern cities I haven’t been to. I visited many others (Padova, Venezia, Bologna, Ferrare, La Spezia, every one of the Cinque Terre, Milano, Verona, Sirmione, Torino, Cortina d’Ampezzo, Ravenna, Parma, Modena, Mantova), but I have a few more on my bucket list!

Alex: you've got a lot of nice tools and stuff packed in your garage and if you'd like more ideas on how to maximize storage on the side and maybe the ceiling you might get some ideas on my garage thread and the link is in my sig line.

my portion of our 2 car garage is only 9 feet by 15 feet and when we moved in 30+ years ago it did have my Honda CR-V in it, but since has had a full gym and now 3 work benches and a lot of stuff.

Nice workshop, Alex (and nice bike)... really really like the organization of your shop, especially the workbench with the drawers.

We have a house southeast of you (About the same distance, straight line from you to Firenzie and again, east of Valfabbrica) that was going to be our retirement home, but it suffered some damage in the Assisi terramoto 10 anni fa; our plans were to start working on it last spring, but Covid keeps sticking it's wrench in our spokes!!

The whole ground floor of the house was stalls, so part of the plan is to turn them into an electrical/utility room and shop... but we have to wait until travel restrictions are lifted.

Quick question - your big tools like your lathe, etc, are they 230 or 380v? I'm arguing with ENEL as they say all we "need" is 230, I'm trying to convince them otherwise!

Hi, i have only 230 v, my machines are not too big and not professional, lathe is a damato multitech 800 plus and minimill is fervi t058, if you are interested of used professional machines is good to have triphase 380v form Enel, whitout you have to use vfd, more problem and less power

2021 new project: the complete teardown of my little minimill for verification of squareness and geometry, i have started my first attempt of manual scraping.

Alex, The scraping is coming along good. It is slow going but worth it in the end.

cleaning up someone else's mistake like the base of your press is something we all don't like to do, but it needs to be done. most of us don't have a mill to shave it off perfect so elbow grease and a file are sometimes our only choice.

how's it sit now? better i'm guessing?

how's the weather in Italy today. i'm guessing part of Italy is in the mountains and other parts close to sea level so whereabouts are you located?

hello everyone, the work had to be done because the ways are all crooked and it was difficult to use the machine, I decided to start from the base to learn on a not too critical surface, the work is long and not immediately satisfying but I will have patience

I live in the plains, in the Po valley, at the foot of the first hills 70km south of Milan, yesterday it was raining, but today was a beautiful sunny day even if we are in the coldest days of the year
