With the help of my father, we have been working on redoing the garage. It is 30 years old and never was taken care of. So it was time to redo it. Here is the progress photos...not done yet, but getting there.

If I wasn't busy with work, I am busy doing something I have wanted to do for years...... Working evenings and this weekend doing this it is finally coming together... Here are pics to show the progress. Floor EPOXY w/flakes and cabinets are soon to come and finishing the new wall with paint.

New Electrical Installed: New Panel with breakers, new and additional circuits with plugs dedicated for the garage. Separated the house from those circuits so they aren't shared anymore. Dedicated circuit for Air Compressor. All to code

Lighting: 7 new T8 lights installed.

Walls: New sheet rock, and paint on all walls including repairs and paint to roof.

Cabinets: Soon

Flooring: Soon

I will update this thread when I have more to post!

Lookig great! I especially like your wall color scheme. I have plans to do mine very similar when I get to the point of finishing the walls. Did you hire an electrician to do the re-wiring? San Antonio is a beautiful area. I live in north Georgia now, but grew up in Houston and Dallas and always enjoyed visiting San Antonio.

Nice job! Looking forward to seeing the cabinets go up...or....down.
Question, what were the 2x4 stubs between the studs on the sill plate?

Those were extra support for the wood paneling that was originally on that wall.

The floor will start on the 28th. Will have more pics sometime after that week. :)

That's incredible. You know you're doing something right when your garage floor makes a nice concrete driveway suddenly look 'just all right.' ;)

I like the red stripe for the tripping point wheel stop ledge. I also really like that you put some red flakes in the epoxy mix.

It's so nice that it's almost a shame you have to park cars in there.

Here's my one OCD thought. What if you extended the red stripe so that its lower edge went another inch and a half down, and then painted the outlet covers with a matching red epoxy? You could have a clean uninterrupted red stripe that way.

Q: Are you gonna put base-board on that left wall? Checker plate would look good all around!

Looks good, what a change.

Here's my question though, looking intothe garage on the left wall. The holes (2 of them)at the bottom of the wall, what are they ?

My first though was heat or A/C but with the side door open, it looks to be an outside wall, not to mention, when the walls were open, there was a 2x4 above the hole.

They are vent holes.
