Hi guys! I posted some info in my intro about my new garage, but I wanted to start a thread in the main discussion so I could update it with pics as the build progresses.
Basically, it is a 20x30 structure with 12' walls and vaulted trusses on a 20x60 slab. The garage itself will sit at the end of the driveway and on the front half of the slab. The front half is stepped up 1" to prevent draining from the back into the garage. The front garage door will be a standard garage door and the back door will be a roll up. This allows a car to pull all the way through to the back side. Eventually, the backside will have a aluminium carport the same height/width as the garage. The "house" side of the garage will have 2 doors and 3 windows. The exterior will be cedar siding stained to match the house and the roof shingles will also match the house. We don't have any immediate plans for electrical, plumbing, or finishing the interior. But we did go ahead and put provisions in the foundation for sewer drains and water. Oh, I've been hanging on to some solid wood kitchen cabinets one of my neighbors left out on the side of the road after their remodel.
The attached pic is how it sits right now. More pics are here.
