Well after the little girl came along we are know 9 months later so i have had time to do a little work and get the flooring down.

The flooring is the 24'' x 24'' tile from versatile. i really love it so far. i still need to put the rubber base around the wall.

I have thought about paiting the walls some sort of gray but really hve not decided, and am still undecided on what color to paint the cabinets beside white.

Lighting will be 8ft each and i beliee I will see how much light 6 will be and if need be i will add 2 more if needed.

I did have a few spots where it was not laying flat, but now that it is all down and has adjusted to the normal temps in the area it is all laing flat. The one thing i love is that its not clickity clack when you drive and/or walk on it.

Congratulations on the new arrival. I have two girls and when they were younger they were the best little "helpers" a guy could ask for. A little more challenging now but I still wouldn't trade them for anything.

Was your floor in pretty good shape before the tiles? If not, what did you have to do before installing them so they would stay in place?

Hi. Do you know if you can put this tile over a wood floor?
Nice shop by the way.Where I live the Amish folks build you a garage in two pieces and deliver to your lot with a 2'' thick oak floor covered bu 1/2 in plywood. The cost is at least half of a conventional garage.

hey thanks for the congrat

My floor was in good shape, only had a few minor cracks but nothing that had to have repairs done to it. All i did before intalling was clean the floor( i just used my power washer). The floor tile is pretty heavy so is not going to go anywhere after its put down, this is a floating floor no adhesive needed. thats the good thing about it floor tiles you can take them with you when you if you ever move.

I don't see why not as long as its a good solid surface i am sure it wil be ok. this tile is .25'' thick so it pretty tough stuff. here is a contact for the floor, Sal can answer any technical questions you might have. He was great to deal with. Tell him I mark from harper ferry wv sent you to him.

Just FYI...get rid of that Sears compressor asap...I have an identical one and for the last 5 years it broke a rod at least once a year...kit to fix it is $57 delivered. Replaced a rod for the 5th time 2 weeks ago and the remaininig rod broke the next day. Tore the motor and pump off, bought another compressor and am getting reay to plumb the 2 together for extra capacity. They are also the loudest compressor I've ever heard!
