Before I started the garage project I sold off 2 band saws that I had, mainly because they took up alot of room that I didn't have. I need to cut thicker metal often enough that I have wanted to get this combo for awhile now. It's portable and I can take it apart and hide it away in a drawer when I don't need it.
Just got the first piece from some friends of mine for my birthday. Wife ordered the table for me and I'm now waiting for that. Very nice piece, it has 5 speeds and a light. The table comes with a foot pedal option for $20. I had to have it.

I bought a used Milwaukee Portaband saw, just the tabletop from Swag and a foot switch. Once I had it set up with the table clamped in a vise, I have never put it away. Several times a week I turn it on to cut something. I did end up mounting the foot switch on the leg of the workbench. Feeling for the switch with my foot or kicking it around the shop wasn't as handy as knowing where it was without looking and turning it on and off with my knee.

How did you run that line off of the inspection hole in the compressor? Did you drill and tape a new hole? I have a very similar Sears model and from what I can tell you can't tap off of that and it's very hard to take off I have read. I would like to use that area though so I can run 3/4" line right off the tank instead of the lame 1/4" that's off of the regulator.

Awesome refurb dude, must be so nice to have everything clean and tidy. You have me hooked on buying a wall mounted shop vac now, didn't even know those existed. Perfect size for my shop too. Swag Offroad makes some sweet products, I have all of their HF tubing roller add-ons as well as a set of dies. The portaband setup is happening in the near future as well. Keep it up!

Hey there, this is my first post and your garage is awesome. I may take some hints from your paint scheme and was wondering if you left the ceiling and upper walls in primer or did you paint them white? Also what is the red color called that you used? Thanks.

The large nut on the side of the tank. You ran a line off of that instead of using the regulator up near the motor. I would like to do the same thing and am wondering how you did it.

Oh, well Sears oiled vertical doesn't have that option; at least mine doesn't.....oh well. Thanks for the feedback.

Got the 2nd picture up today.
Great artworks for the space! Have you considered non-glare art covers though? I'm going through the process of replacing my covers with non-glare ones, as I found that I can't really see my art very well with the reflections from the ceiling light.

Very motivating! I have been lurking for the past few weeks on here to grab some ideas for my 20x20 garage. I can only fit one car right now mostly because storage boxes/totes and junk. But enough of me, thank you for sharing your hard work!

Well that is just a kick *** little set up. I might need to look into one of those. Not sure what I need it for, but I am sure that I need it!!!.
