I've been using the same avatar for the last several years and just found a guy on Ebay that makes large decals of the same picture in any color and size you want. I could not resist. Just have to find a clean spot on my garage wall for it.

Another section of ceiling has come down. One more to go.
This is not easy stuff to remove. Weighs a ton.

The pieces that did not go in the 15 contractor bags.

Just to show how thick this stuff really is.

That is called ROCKLATH. It was a version of drywall back then. It was used as a substrate for plaster.

Paul,

That's kick ***!

I wouldn't mind getting his contact info.

Sweet score Paul.

SWEET! that'll look great on the wall!

Thanks guy's. But you know I can't leave anything alone, plus I don't really want to stick it on the wall itself . I think I will cut a piece of aluminium the same size and place the decal on that. This way if I want to move it, I can. I'm playing with some kind of border too.
This seems like a good place to put it though.

Solid plan! Definite weakness of a decal.

Well, winter is here and the winter projects begin. There are a few spots on the Camaro's body that I have wanted to redo. The rear tail panel has a few dents and I don't want to replace the whole thing. And as I promised myself when I bought the car I would do everything myself. If I didn't know how I would learn something new. Well here it goes. I bought a stud gun and will try and straighten the panel myself. Plus there a few subtle modifications I would like to try. So here is my new toy. An early Christmas present from my wife.

I'm really getting used to this organization thing. I love the extra storage this Craftsman cabinet gives me. No more rumaging through all my spray cans on a shelf. I can see everything I have between the 2 doors at a single glance.

you weren't kidding when you said you had re-bought a bunch of stuff b/c you couldn't find it in your old paint shelves....new cabinet looks great!

Man this is inspiring, you came a long way. Love the cabinets and shelving and better yet the floor covering. I'm currently building and installing shelves and cabinets in my 20X20 attached and loving the ideas you have here.

Looking forward to hear how the stud welder kit gun works out.

Hope to start using it this week. I will let you know.

Subbing to your build, love the tall cabinet.

Thanks.

Diggin this thread, lots of cool ideas..

Thanks.

While I was on vacation over the holiday's I rented a Infinity G37x. Nice car. Being a car guy I looked under the hood and found this tool sitting right on top of the radiator. Anybody know what it is?

Strange place to find a wheel weight plier, on top of the radiator on a "new" car, especially a rental. How was the vacation?

I thought the same thing. The wife and I ate and drank our way through Napa Valley. It was great.
Started off a little rocky though. Reserved a Dodge Challenger RT about 8mo's ago. Showed up at the desk to find out they had give the only one to someone else. They made amends by giving me a Camaro SS conv. Got about 5 miles from the airport and the motor started to squeal like a pig. Took it back and they gave me the Infinity, 340hp and a 6speed. I have to say, the car was a blast. Still would have preferred the Challenger though.

I think you will do a great job with that stud welder!

It's working great so far.

Our sons' godmother received an orange Dodge Challenger R/T from her boyfriend for helping him through two serious motorcycle accidents. No manual speed, tho, just pushbuttons. Her ex's '71 Challenger convertible restomod, also orange, is in the current issue of Mopar Muscle, or whatever they call it. Last I heard, it had a 514" going into it, but he trades parts more often than I change shorts, LOL.

The G37's are fun to drive, especially when they're not yours.

I did the Napa cruise in a rental Challenger last August. It was just a v6, but a nice ride. The G37 is a much more nimble car. I don't think you missed out on too much.

Nice present! Stripe it to match the wall and you'll never know it's there until you need it, lol. Put some lockable casters on it and you'll be able to use it easily anywhere in the shop; or get a cheap furniture dolly from HF and screw it to that for mobility.

I already modified the base so it sits closer to the wall. I'm also thinking about bolting it into the floor so it won't move. I'm getting close to building a new rear for the Camaro so it will come in handy for that.

Turned the garage into a spray booth last weekend. I've wanting to try something differant so I plasti dipped the Camaro. Company named Dip Your Car makes a kit including the sprayer, spray gun, and all the material you need to do it your self. All for about $400 and that includes the 4 gallons of product. The car came out awesome and if I get tired of it next year I can peel it off and spray it a differant color. All for about $200 in product. Hell, I may change the color every year. They have 28 colors including pearls and color changing paint.

Great job!!

I also love the plastidip paint...

When I did my bumpers there were a few areas that looked blotchy when it was wet and when it was dry it looked perfect... This is a very uniform looking paint compared to other types I find...

The car looks awesome! Just remember that if you add clear coat it may not peal off well...

I was going to paint it satin black, so this is perfect.
