If I can fiqure out how to post them here a few pics of my garage project.
I have a little over five acres of Tennesse woods that have been untouched for over fifty years. With all this wood I just installed a wood furnace in my attached two-car garage to augment my propane heat and turned this garage into a place to build my Piper Super cub clone. Last year I built the carport and this summer started the garage. My plan was to get all the Block, Brick and concrete work done this fall and finish next spring. After finding this site and getting inspired by others projects I am considering
adding a second story. I designed, laid out and poured the footer and contracted for the block, brick, and concrete finishing. I did all the prep work for the floor and only had to pay $325 labor to have them pour and smooth.

Temporarily at least. I didn't want to have any vehicles in with wood furnace going.
In the summer I will use as a garage. I have 160 sq ft of race deck flooring on the way to cover a large part of the floor.

I have had a Piper Colt for several years and during rebuild I bought a second complete Colt airframe for $3000. With all these Colt parts left over I decided to use some of them to build a Cub. I bought a tack-welded Supercub fuselage from a retired guy in Florida who was building them for retirement income. I learned how to gas weld and with the help of a very good gas welder welded up the fuselage adding all the tabs and fittings. I made a bunch of parts and bought some others. The Colt wings will bolt up to a Cub airframe and are exactly the same length as a "Clipped Wing Cub" I should have it flying in less than two years. I have a new engine on the flying Colt and plan to transfer it to the Cub. If you have any other questions feel free to give me a call. (931)455-8662
The best part is the Cub will be an "experimental homebuilt" and I can do all my future maintenance and it will fit into the new "Light Sport Category" in which I won't even need a FAA medical certificate.
