This one might be a little slow at completion, but it is started finally.

After 3years in the house, I have decided to get moving on updating my garage to a more user friendly place until I build a pole barn.

List to date:

Drywall & Insulation in the walls (ceiling isn't finished yet)
Ceiling Hoist (I mainly work on snowmobiles and lighter stuff)
(5) 8' high output lights (pic)
Couple cabinets (Thanks to the GJ guys)
shelf unit
re-purposed workbench left here from the p.o.

I will add pics as I go.

Looks like it, my version will have 2x6 on the wall side though just for the wee bit deepness.

I can see why just one big door would suffice, i **** at gettin thick doors to close properly.

Yea, I'm thinking of doing a 2x6 also for those cans that are larger in diameter than your normal spray cans.

I can't take the credit for the storage cabinet it was on this forum that I found the idea. I just made the cabinet bigger. :) Never have enough storage. I am trying to get organized.

this is just 2x4 construction. Very simple with OSB backing.

I thought about using 2x6 for the wall side, after I built the cabinet.

regguy1 - I like that shelf unit. I have been waiting to put shelves above the bench, cause I can't decide what to install. Might have found what to install.

Well, today didn't feel like I got a lot accomplished until I realized that I have been unable to park in the garage for 5 days and now I can. :) Short list today.

Started trimming out the ceiling. I went with 1x4 furring strips. More of an up-north look.

Also put my sled stable where they belong for the winter? :)

Goals (always good to have goals.)

- As I am going back to work on Monday, I want to have the following completed.

- Doors on cabinet
- Shelf tops finished
- Garage trimmed, ceiling, walls, doors & windows
- Another cabinet, if time permits.

Couple pictures of today's progress.

Brilliant. I'm in as another thief of the fluids cabinet... that's the ****.

Mine looks pretty much the same... Amsoil, Power Service, can foam, etc :)
