Hello all!
I've been wanting to renovate our garage ever since we moved in almost 5 years ago. A few months ago I explored what it would cost to have the floor resurfaced and epoxy coated. I spoke to a friend of mine from my old firehouse about it and he mentioned he'd help me out with it, so I figured we'd put it into planning. Whelp, he gave me a rang and asked me if I was willing to move up the timeline and do it a little sooner, but also save a couple extra bucks. Apparently, he had a delay with another project he was working on, so he was using this as filler.
Anyway, to try and keep it short, I had to try and empty the garage and put as much stuff into the basement within two evenings in order to hit my friend's window.
I think it came out pretty nice.
I also took this opportunity to repurpose the "work room" that came with the house, located in the basement. It's always been a PITA to use as it didn't offer the best access from the garage, so I decided to close it off to the basement and open it up to the garage. It's still a WIP, I've added a slop sink, relocated shut-off valves, and closed up the ceiling. I ripped up the nasty linoleum floor, however, the paper/adhesive is still there and I am looking to just add RaceDeck on top of it. I also want to get some cabinets, preferably metal, but with one caveat, American made! I might be going with the welded set, made by Craftsman. I was really ready to purchase NewAge as I've seen a lot of great videos and reviews, but I HATE sending money to China and avoid it as much as possible.
Our garage doors were ordered a few months ago and will finally be installed tomorrow (and Saturday).
Here are some before and progress photos.
Thanks for looking!
