Looks like a nice start. I don't know how you deal with the Vegas heat, though...

Red box in the back? Tell me about her!

Excellent start, what is the rest of your plan for your garage?

Thanks, it does get pretty hot. Was thinking of a nice AC unit or maybe a port-a-cool.

The red box was left to me from a former roommate. Don't know much about it except that its quite sturdy.

I still have some more stuff to move from inside the house.

Other than a cooling option, what else do you suggest?

Thanks again for all the input!

Great transformation. Not sure if you attached bench to wall? If not, I'd consider adding a back brace to tie all the legs together and add some lateral bracing.

Looks good so far. You have a lot of confidence in fasteners to place that metal racking above your lovely Z. I'm sure it isn't misplaced, I've just always been leery of anything like that in regards to my cars.

Any reason you chose not to carry the epoxy all the way to the end of the slab at the entryways?

Looks better now then when you started, but still so much you could do. So do tell, future plans?

Good idea. I didn't attach it to the wall. Hell the top isn't even secure yet! Was thinking of maybe wrapping the top in metal. Thanks.

I was worried about that too, but the rack came with 3" lag bolts and they're drilled directly into the 2x4s in the ceiling. It's rated to 600 lbs, its pretty sturdy.
The reason why the epoxy isn't painted to the end of the slab is because of the garage door. I think it would silly to have the epoxy extend beyond the garage door when it's closed, plus I read that this stuff doesn't hold up well in direct sunlight.

Looks great, what's next on the agenda?
Start tearing back into my Z!! Lol. Thanks.
Don't really know, maybe beef up the bench like they said.

Thanks. Not totally sure on what I should do next. I'll probably start building more of a tool collection. Any ideas?

Little update, was thinking of picking up a port-a-cool swamp cooler. Summer is here and it's almost unbearable to work in the garage. I hear they work very well in the dry climate of NV. Are they really worth the money?
