Grew up working in my Father's workshop/garage. Born and raised in the Appalachian Mountains. Came from a long line of blue collar workers, steel workers, electricians, plumbers, welders, carpenters, drywallers and auto mechanics. Learned all the trades by the time I was 15 years of age. My Father started to teach me along with my uncles and cousins when I was 5 years old. I am a Network Engineer now for a Steel Company. I was the first male in my family to graduate from college, but still know where my roots are and am proud to be a blue collar worker and an American Patriot!!! My first marriage ended in divorce and I had to sell the house, luckily since she cheated on me and I had enough evidence I walked away unscathed for the most part after filing for bankruptcy. Took me ten years to clean up my credit, met my new wife and soulmate and was finally able to buy a house with an awesome garage in the back. Been working on renovating it for the last six months, new electrical, bathroom, hot water, cabinets and chests. My Father would be really proud of me if a blood disease hadn't taken him before I got to buy the house/garage. I have his Craftsman Radial Arm Saw which was his prized possession sitting in my garage now along with his Craftsman Drill Press.

This is a picture of my Door leading into the garage. I replaced the window with 1/2 inch thick black non-transparent plexiglass as well as all the windows in the back garage door and added the security bars on both sides of the door. I didn't want anyone snooping around looking into my garage.

Got them at Home Depot. Around $50 each, delivered to my house. I took the door off the hinges and set it down on two 2x4's to drill the holes. Made it easier to install that way. I like your cat by the way in your Avatar. I have two Black and White Tuxedo cats myself.

Thanks... I found your exact door shield thing... on amazon for about $60 prime. I am going to look at my options... All of my exterior doors are powder coated steel. Will think about it.

The current cat in my avatar is my former Princess. She passed last year during the beginning of the pandemic. She was a special kitty.

Also wanted to mention... I love how many drawers you have. I have cabinets with doors... I would trade those for more drawers any day.

Thank you! I bought the 9 drawer cabinets at Harbor Freight for around $330 each and the wall cabinets were $75.00 each which are three cabinets together as one unit. I'm sorry you lost your Cat! I feel the same way about mine. My Princess' name is Zoe and my Boy's name is Lightning. They are 15 and 14. I know how you feel. I would spend my day with my cats versus human's anyday. :)

Thanks Jayman! Been working very hard on it to get it the way I want. Gotta get a small fridge for beer and a nice chair to sit in so I can relax when I don't have some sort of project going on.

A beautiful, well organized shop. Nicely done, sir!

It's great that you have some of your father's tools. I have quite a few tools from my father and grandfather. Those are the tools I cherish the most.

This was one of my Grandfather's 1/4 inch socket sets when he had his Auto Mechanic's shop. He passed away before I was ever born.

Thank you everyone for the compliments. It hasn't been easy for me since I have a rare form of Asthma. I can only do so much at a time on my weekends. I try to limit it to one project a day so I don't get out of breath and end up in the hospital.

Asthma... yep... severe here. I have to wear an oxygen monitor on my index finger that transmits my info to my phone 24/7... it alarms me if I drop O2 below "allowable". It makes me focus on my breathing exercises... I also built several "portable nebulizers" since I don't like using "rescue inhalers". They use Milwaukee M12 6ah batteries. Last several days of multiple uses each day.

I'm on 2 Liters of Oxygen while I sleep and also have to use a BiPap machine while I sleep. I sleep much better now. I was diagnosed with AERD (Aspirin Exacerbated Respiratory Disease) in February of 2017. I spent four days on a ventilator in an induced comma. Woke up and thought it was the year 2003. They asked me who the President was and I said Bush. Then I asked what was going on with the war. I was messed up for a few days due to the drugs they pumped in me. Now I get a Dupixent shot every two weeks and it keeps my asthma in check for the most part. I just get out of breath if I walk to much now.

Figured I post some more pictures I took of the LED lights I installed and the conduit I ran to hide all the wires from the garage door openers and sensors.

Don't see these anymore. It belonged to my father. I remember when oil actually came in cans.
