Props, sir.....A part of me is considering putting some of my hot wheels collection in the shop......dunno just yet.....I can be somewhat destructive. Tips for protecting the trophies?
thanks all!i do have some hot wheels durangos on the wall along with some old mopar cans and other mopar memorabilia.the only thing i do is i am careful around the trophies and i wipe them down a few times a month.
the trophies are from car stereo competitions(from when i was younger),and car shows from up and down the east coast to the midwest and Canada.i have about 150 trophies,plaques,medals,and other awards to display with my biggest accomplishment being an almost 7 foot tall trophy from being the 2005 IASCA stock 3 world champion.IASCA is a car stereo organization in 28 different countries and yours truly beat out all in my class to win it all in '05.

I'd just paint what you already have. Drywall is a big, dirty job and you still have to follow up with paint.
Congratulations on your sucesses. If you like many others find that you need get rid of some of your winnings consider donating your excess trophies, plaques, & medals to special olympics, the local kids club, or school that can rebadge them and give them out.

thanks Dominico and larry_g.Dominico,your osb turned out great;larry,we do currently do that in stereo competitions.if there are not enough entries to fill the field,all leftovers are donated with new tops and plates added;just a way for us to give a little something back.our organization pays for the trophies,but the local trophy place where we buy from has generously swapped toppers and badges free of charge(he keeps the previous toppers) to do his part of giving back

Good on you guys. A lot of people do not think of this avenue to get rid of old trophys. The kids love them and they do not end up in the landfill.

thank you.we just recently held our 3rd annual stereo show for St. Judes.it was a 60 dollar entry fee,but since it was for the kids,people came out.100% of all entry fees and refreshment sales went to St. Judes.we raised almost 3000 dollars and it gets bigger every year.
