I just couldn’t pass this up. I’ve been here for a while. I’ve got a few too many posts but my ratio of posting verses reading is probably 1:100
And I’ve seen my fair share of complaints when it comes to odd smells
But sniffing your sockets, that’s a new one on me.
Does sound strange, but when I first got them unwrapped the plastic and opened the top plastic cover they just gave off a wax/oil smell and it's pretty strong, and has never gone away, I don't actually sniff sockets, it's just a potent smell they gave off.
Same with new ratchets, breaker bars, that came in a big full of wax/oil from snap on.
