Not exactly the clean, organized palace that some of you folks have, but it's what I have for now. Not going crazy with any painted floor and shelving, etc since an addition to it is planned if the economy ever turns around.

Too much stuff, not enough room. The '37 Ford on the right has the motor out of it right now. My '47 Dodge chassis on the left.

Some acquisitions from this past summer, I love free stuff. A beautiful Clausing drill press, 50's vintage Craftsman grinder w/lamp and stand, 50's Craftsman vise. My neighbor had all of them in his basement, an older guy that kept records for EVERYTHING! I think he had owners manuals for his owners manuals....

My mix-matched tool boxes. Got the yellow Snap-on for free. My friend manages a local tire shop, one of the guys drove into this box, insurance bought him a new one.

Thanks for the compliments. There was an older man living two houses down the street from us. He was a retired machinist that had a basement full of equipment at one point from lathes to milling machines. He sold most of it just before we bought our house, but lucky for me he held on to the drill press, grinder, and vise. This guy had receipts and paperwork for everything he ever bought. When he sold the house he gave me boxes of antique tools and all of the bigger items. The one thing that was too sentimental to part with was his wooden box of precision measurement devices....it was a beautiful sight but he took it with him. He promised me that he will call me first when he is ready to part with it.

The drill press is just awesome to use. Makes my Grizzly press look and feel like a play toy. Having variable speed control at your fingertips is great. It is big, old, heavy, and totally serviceable. It will be around forever.

Looks great, I love the old tools. What size garage are you planning to build?

Not sure what size. It will depend on budget and what the good old township tells me I CAN'T DO with my land. Currently I am 22' wide x 25' deep. I would like to blow the roof off along with the right side wall, and go up and out. If I get some commercial land for the business, all of this will change as I won't need to have such a large home garage. I need a place to work on bigger vehicles like my Sprinter van and Jeep. Right now, there is no work, leading to no money for fun stuff.
