My Hein Werner "O'Boy" jack rebuild thread

got this yesterday from my father and have spent the day getting it torn down in preparation for a rebuild/restoration. seems to be in fair shape minus needing a seal kit of course, a pump piston, and a few other parts.

Yep, You got it taken apart alright.

That tag info came as quite a surprise.


It really surprised me as well Elroy! I scoured the 'net last night and this morning looking for info on this bad boy, reading your thread in its entirety and looking at all of the other info/pictures of these old jacks, and never have I seen one like this.

I will note also that this jack appears to have been green, and then painted orange over the top of it, I thought at first that it was someones attempt at re-painting in the past, but the green shows under the Hein werner ID tag? so perhaps it was green originally then when the hein werner tag was added it was painted orange? who knows???
