I had a problem with moving motors around in my shed/shop and the HF dollies kept breaking. Well, realizing I had a few nice oak pallets and a few casters, here is the end result. I am pretty happy with them.

Those are nice. I haven't broken my HF dollies yet. I have 2 and have used them on major appliances. If I used them everyday like you, I bet mine would bust too.

Re: My Ho Made dollies.............

I did not get a good picture of the one that is not loaded. Actually they are half the width of the original pallet. Ran my skill saw just outside the center 2X runner. Took the now cut off outside 2X runner and used it as a new center runner in the now half pallet Popped in a few sheet rock screws and added 4 casters. And wa la ..

They look strong, and serviceable. They also look longer than the typical ones, which could be handy. I've thought about building my own, but the castors would cost me about the same as the complete dolly from Lowes...

Yeah, it helped that I already had the castors. I had saved some a couple years ago from some junked equipment. Actually everything I used on these was laying around the shop and gave me a $0. investment which I like.
