Here are some photos of my garage, just finished (finished for now anyway)

It's 25x40 with a 25x25' loft.. the back 15' is open to the 20' celing. I'm hoping one day to put in a lift, but for now it's just sawhorses. I built the workbenches form leftover lumber from the garage and some masonite, they work pretty good.

The compressor lives under the stairs, I'm going to insulate that space so I don't have to hear it run all the time. The welder is an ESAB 350 mpi tig/mig/stick welder that sit on an old display for baby formula

Here's a photo of the south side, with my wife giving me the "why are you taking pictures of the garage again???" look.

I decided I wanted a 8' door on the back side for long term projects, so far it's been nice.

Looks like the original A rods and pistons on the workbench? Are you using the original engine in your build? If not, why did you tear it apart?

Nope, those in fact are 241 dodge red ram hemi pistons, you can kindof see the heads and valvecovers there. it is going in the model a as soon as I get the money for bearings and such, thanks for looking!

so far it's worked pretty good. I made the mistake of buying some cheap air tools, they drain it pretty quick. Other than that, yeah, it seems like it works great.

Hey Nate- looks great!

I have the same air compressor- man is it loud. One thing for sound insulation- you want alot of mass to stop the sound waves- 'glass wont cut it. I plan on using some CMUs (aka cinderblocks) and dry stack them in the corner to try to cut down on noise.

If you are trying to insulate against noise, go to the home center and look at the sheets of 2" thick dense foam. If you are a little creative with it, it can do wonders for noise reduction.

Nice barn garage. I really like the loft area that you have setup. That adds a lot of working space to the garage.

So...just to get my bearings here, was the Model A pic taken from the 8' doorway? I like your 1/3 loft idea, it leaves plenty of room for a lift later.

right! The ceiling above the model a is 20' with the stairs going up the side wall.
