My humble 1 car shack

Been lurker for a long time. This is such a great place to get ideas and inspiration. Anyway, I bought a "fixer" house in Portland, OR last summer. For the last six months I have been busy making the house livable. I have not had much time to work on the garage, but so far I have finished the wood floor "fir".
It had never been finished so it had 80 years of dirt and motor oil ground into it, I think it came out great considering what it looked like.
Then I wired in some lights that I found at on sale at IKEA for $1.99.
All of the cabinets are from Craigslist ($100). The workbenches also came from Craigslist.

Welcome -- love the Porsche!!! and the Vespa. OI also like the raised area with wood flooring. It looks very "old school"

The wood floor is original to the structure, I just refinished it. It looks like originally the wood floor went across the whole garage/shop, and then at some point someone cut out half the floor an poured the concrete slab in half. They also placed a footing around the whole structure.
So the wood floor is about 6" above the concrete.

Frank, are you taking about "Lambrokens"?

I have a pair of old Lambretta S3 side covers hanging on the wall.

Yes, the sidecar works great. It is just not connected right now.

So, what is the wood floor laid on top of? Some kind of 2x framing with a sub floor underneath?

There is no sub floor. Just the tongue and groove 3/4" flooring nailed directly into 2x6 joist.

They sit on top of the sill plate, which is on a footing.

I can only see 4 of the pictures. The rest are just red x's. But from what i do see...I like. I like the Porsche, but would really like to see some more pics of the bikes. And I really like the wood floor. It makes me think......
