My improvised bead breaker

I am changing some tires at home on an equipment trailer and needed to brake the bead on the rims....four post lift to the rescue

Best on steel rims.

Jack up your car/truck. Place a sort piece of 2x4 stand up under something solid on the car (hitch works well) an as close as possible to the rim. Let the car down.

I either use the High Lift jack method, or often I'll use my truck and a length of 4x4.

I can say an installed GMT900 front rotor lowered onto a 4 year old Michelin works great and causes no harm.

Just pull the valve stems, drive around in circles in the back lot.
