We've been down below freezing for a few days......pic of today's temps. I guess I forgot to leave the internet streaming and it's freezing up here and there today. I told my wife and we turned on all the devices and started streaming movies. That should get it flowing again.....

Absolutely true. The squirrel in the cage goes into a dormancy mode when it is too cold, no power and then the Internet doesn't work. Add extra nuts to the meals and the squirrel will just get fat and sassy but not work harder. Truth is that hamsters give a little better speeds in colder weather. Guinea pigs are the best though for an extra couple hundred baud.

I've found downloads are better for warming up the line than streaming. The consistent weight of a download v/s a stream (which may not have a lot of action at various times in the programming) is more useful.

Also, if you download a really large file, it can act as an "icebreaker" on heavily chilled bits.

I've been having trouble with my cable TV connection, where some channels don't work, but when it gets really cold the problem seems to go away. On the other hand my Internet connection which comes into the house on the same cable is rock solid no matter the temperature.
