My Intro from Maryland

Hello all!

Bender from Maryland.

Been lurking creepily around for a while..and decided to join.

2 Car Garage that I am trying to convert from a cluttered storage/shop/trashcan/mancave, etc..., to a nice and clean and organized woodshop....big task....but after being sufficiently inspired by you guys, I have finally begun!

Attached is a photo of the beginnings of my french cleat system.
After 6 trips to the dump (one of my absolute favorite things to do), I am on my way.
Long way to go, but I am excited.

John: looks like a great start to the shop clean up. can you shoot a couple close ups of the clamp rack and describe how you made it if its not obvious? I was just going to put a 2 x 4 on the back of a door and hang mine there. yours looks quite a bit nicer.

The "Clamp Rack" is actually a towel rack my late Grandfather made for my mother...who gave to me. I decided to re-purpose it for sentimental reasons. I guess I will start a new thread for my renovation, and will show more detailed pic. If nothing less, it will keep me motivated!

John: I agree garage gallery is where you'll have the most exposure and followers so if you have questions it will be a better place to get answers.

take a look at some of the more popular threads and the ones that interest you so you'll know how to set up yours. a good name helps. plenty of pictures and questions help a lot too.

good luck and nice use of an old towel rack.
