Howdy.
Tejaas here.
I've been registered here in GJ for almost a year, and have been perusing GJ for a few years... And have yet to publish a single post.
I'll keep it simple.
I'm an 8th generation Texan, and an aviation rotorcraft mechanic by trade.
I enjoy the first more than the latter.
I obsessively indulge in metal fabrication, carpentry, gunsmithing, Texas History, and anything pertaining to 6.4L Powerstrokes.
I enjoy hot Texas summers, cold-rolled steel, and lukewarm beer.
I hate pants-sagging skateboarders, Craftsman tools made in China, and cold weather (65 degrees and below).
I like my wife, love my truck, and lust for tools.
Sure, I've been called a xenophobe, but the truth is, I'm not. I honestly just feel that America is the best country and the other countries aren't as good. That used to be called patriotism.
I think that Garage Journal is the nations leading "think tank" for ingenuity, resourceful repurposing, and seems to be frequented by all-around great folks.
I also think I'm due for a beer.
See y'all in the back 40.
