My IR Hammerhead stopped working!

I'm bummed! It's one of my favorite tools.
Used it, set it down, tried to use it again and it just hisses.
Tried another air line, no go.
I oil it regularly.
I've owned it maybe 2 or 3 years.
I take care of it and never drop it.
What is most likely wrong?
I'd like to fix it myself if possible.
How do these come apart, and what parts should I need?
Direct from IR?

Have you greased the hammercase? If it's 2 or 3 years old, it's past due for it unless it's a shelf queen.

I've greased it several times as well.

Does the anvil turn by hand?

Eh, only about a 1/2 turn each way.

If it's locked up it's probably broken pretty good. If there's no warranty take it apart and find the failed component then buy one from IR. Also post pictures here.

I had this happen to a 1/4 air ratchet look at the spline and make sure no dirt for into it but it could also be the trigger button they have come loose from the air valve before on my 2115ti before

sounds more like a broken seal. take it apart and see if all the seals are intact

Well, I took out the anvil and upper bearing and gear. That looked fine.
I couldn't figure out how to get anything else apart.
My tool guy is sending it in for a fix quote.
