So I decided I better make a "New One" - On my lathe of course (get your mind out of the gutter)

So I found a chunk of SS hex formerly known as some thing else and bored his little booty out until it would fit the shaft of my "Johnson" Drive Wheel

A little bit of threading ....

Oh and did I mention - My Johnson's Ram won't get stiff - Now that really ***** (no pun intended) - don't it ...

So I decided I better rebuild the Ram while I'm at it - but "Oh Gosh - Oh Geepers" I don't have a "Fancy Rebuild Kit" imported from China. I mean really How Long Do You Expect these Things to Last.

I mean as best I can tell this thing was built some time around WWII. So that would mean carry the 1 and the 5 ..... 65 years ....

So I did the next best thing ....

I grabbed an old work glove and "Cut-Out" a proper wiper for the Hydraulic Cylinder. I figured the last one lasted longer then most folks reading this post have been alive, if this one last 1/2 that long most of you all will be too old to care if the Ram Gets Stiff by the time this one wears out anyway ...

And of course ....

Here is my "Ram in Action" slowly letting the wait of the saw descend on his soon to be "Next Victim"

Keeping with the theme, I should point out you had your 'tool' sticking out too far. :D
