so im talking to my snapon guy about boxes for home use. he tells me he has an old KR1000, so i go look at it. fairly sound, but has some paint worn off at the tops of drawers which is common on a used box and a couple drawers need slides replaced and a general clean up. hes asking $1000 for it with the 2 new slides included. is that an ok price? from my research im getting anywhere from $500 up to $2500. btw its going on truck credit (so no interest) any input would be appreciated. thanks!

I think that is a pretty good deal. It doesn't have the full width drawers like the newer 7022 or 1022 but it is a big and beefy box. If the scuffs on the top of the drawers bother you there is a trim kit for the drawer tops or you could sand and vinyl wrap them. Otherwise for $1000 enjoy it as is. You're getting at least 3x the space of a little HF box and a lot heavier duty unit.
